Light Rainfall and Thunder Expected in Hilly Regions Today

Kathmandu, Feb 25 – Nepal is currently under the influence of a low-pressure system, bringing light rainfall and occasional snowfall to some areas.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rain is occurring in parts of the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, accompanied by light snowfall. The rest of the country remains mostly clear, though fog is expected in some Terai areas this morning.

The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in the highlands of other provinces.

Some places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may experience light rainfall and snowfall with thunder, while Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces could see similar conditions later today.

Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious in areas experiencing rainfall and snowfall.
