Government directs hospitals to submit details of Gen Z protest injuries
Kathamndu: The government has instructed all health institutions to provide details of those injured during the Gen Z protests by February 27.
Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said hospitals treating the injured have been asked to submit information immediately, following the coordination committee’s directives.
Details are to be submitted for listing and classification, with the final list to be published after verification. So far, only 200 cases have been classified, while some minor injuries may not have been reported.
The government has approved monthly support of Rs 9000 for extremely serious and serious cases, Rs 4000 for moderate injuries, and similar allowances for caregivers.
The ministry reports that 2599 people were injured during the Gen Z protests.
