12th NRNA World Conference Scheduled for March 14–16 in Kathmandu
The 12th World Conference and Grand General Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) will be held in Kathmandu from March 14 to 16.
Information shared at a press conference on Monday said preparations for the event are underway, with a high-level organising committee formed under the leadership of the Minister for Foreign Affairs. The committee’s secretariat has already begun the necessary preparatory work.
This year’s conference will be held under the theme “Our Unity, the Foundation for Prosperity.” The NRNA said the global non-resident Nepali movement, which began in 2003 with the slogan “Nepalis for Nepalis,” continues to work toward bringing Nepalis living abroad together under a single platform.
According to the press statement, organisational challenges that emerged within the Association were gradually addressed through introspection, dialogue, and cooperation during the 10th and 11th general conventions.
The statement also recalled that a landmark and comprehensive unity within the NRNA was achieved on November 30, 2025, in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This unity, the Association said, has further reinforced its collective resolve toward stability, cohesion, and a stronger future direction.
