Registration of representatives begins at NC Special General Convention
Kathmandu, Jan 12: The registration of representatives for the Nepali Congress (NC) Special General Convention (SGC) resumed at 8:30 am today at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
On Sunday, a total of 2,662 representatives registered in favor of the SGC, organized by a faction of the party supporting the event. Eight registration stalls were set up to facilitate the process on the first day.
According to Yubraj Pandey, Coordinator of the Event Coordination Committee, the province-wise registration numbers for SGC supporters are: Koshi – 425, Madhes – 446, Bagmati – 432, Gandaki – 296, Lumbini – 398, Karnali – 134, Sudurpaschim – 148, Kathmandu Valley – 178, and an additional 195 from sister organizations, well-wishers, and liaison committees.
Pandey added that representatives who could not register on Sunday will have until 11:00 am today to complete the process. Meanwhile, the convention’s closed-door session is scheduled to begin shortly, after a delay from the planned 8:00 am start due to technical issues.
