Prachanda stresses timely elections, unity among leftist forces
Kathmandu, Jan 9: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has emphasized that elections must be held as scheduled to address the country’s ongoing political instability, uncertainty, and economic challenges.
Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on Friday, Dahal urged the government and all political parties to ensure a smooth electoral process. He highlighted the importance of unity among communist factions, noting that polarization among leftist forces stems from shared ideological roots.
According to Dahal, safeguarding national sovereignty, promoting development, and consolidating the communist movement are urgent priorities for the nation.
On this occasion, Joint Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal stated that the party is committed to promoting good governance and enhancing citizen welfare, which has strengthened public trust nationwide. Leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha added that parties with similar ideologies and principles will continue efforts toward unity.
