SP Approves Unification Deal with Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah
Kathmandu, Dec 29: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has formally approved a unification agreement with Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah.
The party’s central committee, meeting last night, endorsed the deal, with RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti emphasizing that the agreement reflects “courage, sacrifice, and hope” for the nation. The committee also pledged to promote good governance, democracy, social justice, and prosperity through the implementation of the deal.
Earlier on Sunday, RSP and Mayor Shah finalized a seven-point agreement addressing key issues ahead of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5. The agreement, signed by RSP President Rabi Lamichhane and Mayor Shah, includes provisions to uphold the youth-led movement against corruption and poor governance and to ensure proper support for families of the injured and martyrs.
