Sharma Sworn in as Foreign Affairs Minister
Kathmandu: Newly appointed Foreign Affairs Minister Bala Nanda Sharma took the oath of office and secrecy before President Ram Chandra Paudel at a special ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas today.
Former Nepali Army Lieutenant General, Sharma was appointed by Prime Minister Sushila Karki, expanding her Council of Ministers to 15 members. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, heads of diplomatic missions, constitutional bodies, and senior government officials.

Sharma previously served as the coordinator of the Prime Minister-led Special Committee on Army Integration after the Maoists joined the peace process.
