Top leaders of three major political parties express commitment to participate in HoR election

Kathmandu: The top leaders of the three major political parties, Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (UML) and Nepali Communist Party, have assured their participation in the forthcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election.

The PM’s Secretariat said the top leaders pledged their parties’ commitment to the polls slated for the 5th of March during today’s meeting with Prime Minister Sushila Karki held at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

Emerging from the meeting, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba said all political parties, including Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) are ready to take part in the poll and the government should ensure security nvironment.

The PM’s Secretariat said UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also expressed their commitment to the polls.

During the meeting, PM Karki urged the major political parties to make the poll a success adding that the upcoming election is to be held in a unique context.
