Elections are first priority of Nepali Congress: Deuba

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that general elections are the first priority of his party, adding that preparations have already begun for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

During a meeting with Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel at his residence today, President Deuba said the Nepali Congress has decided to participate in the elections and is giving top priority to their timely conduct.

Minister Kharel, who is also a member of the Political Dialogue Committee, said President Deuba emphasized the need for the government to create a proper environment to ensure free and fair elections.
