Gaur Schools Shut Until Friday Amid Severe Cold

Chandrapur, Rautahat, Dec 23: All schools in Gaur Municipality, Rautahat, will remain closed until Friday due to the intense cold affecting the region over the past few days.

The municipality issued an official notice on Monday, declaring a holiday for all community and institutional schools until December 26.

Chief Administrative Officer Subas Kumar Thakur explained that the decision was taken as regular classes had been disrupted by the extreme cold, and there were concerns about its impact on students’ health. The lost school days will be compensated during the summer break.

Since the second week of December, the district has been experiencing unusually severe cold, which has also disrupted normal daily life.
