Leftist polarization for nation building: Coordinator Dahal

Kathmandu, Nov 27: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has said leftist polarization would be devoted to nation building and independence.

In his address to a unity programme where Nepali Communist Party and Janata Samajbadi Party, Janajagaran Party Nepal, and splinters of different communist parties came together, Coordinator Dahal viewed the leftist forces and communist unity were for the protection of nation’s sovereignty and dignity in view of the need for strengthening nationality.

According to him, the party will also establish collaboration with democratic forces for the national integrity and independence. He also sought cooperation to this bid. “Only communist can resolve the problems facing the country now,” Dahal asserted, reminding the leaders and cadres to exchange views and make synthesis for enforcement of neo-socialism.

On the occasion, Joint Coordinator of NCP, Madhav Kumar Nepal, said the leftist polarization would be forwarded by unifying other parties that believe in scientific socialism based on Nepali characteristics. Such assemblies would be held across the country that would create a unity wave and atmosphere for election.

Leader of a group of the Janata Samajbadi Party favouring unification, Rajendra Shrestha, said he joined the Nepali Communist Party because he liked its political programmes, which he argued, would help in spurring national prosperity.
