On Air Station:

Demands of Gen-Z should be addressed, Dr Bhattarai says

Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has viewed that Nepal cannot establish its interconnectedness with rest of the world if Nepal’s politics were not restructured.

Addressing the party unification assembly of Progressive Democratic Party here today, Dr Bhattarai stated that the concerns of the Gen-Z should be addressed to ensure our interconnectedness with the outer world.

Noting that the country was going through crises, the former Prime Minister pointed out the need for support from all sides to bring things into a normal situation. Dr Bhattarai suggested that the newly-formed Progressive Democratic Party should move ahead by balancing both the self and social character of an individual.

As shared in the assembly, Dr Bhattarai would remain in the role of a custodian and offer support and recommendations to those in the executive roles. Likewise, former minister Ram Karki said the newly-formed party would continue its campaign whether or not elections take place.

Similarly, former minister Janardan Sharma read out the party’s commitment paper and shared that a national development authority would be formed under the country’s executive head and a massive campaign would be run against corruption.

Another former minister Sudan Kirati said that the party carries the content of a communist party, not the form. Chair of the assembly, Santosh Pariyar, said that the party would bring all dynamic activists on board.
