Industrial fair in Butwal to promote domestic products
Lumbini, Nov 19 — A large-scale industrial fair is set to take place in Butwal with the aim of boosting the consumption and promotion of domestically produced goods.
Scheduled to begin on December 18, the event will run alongside an agricultural and tourism festival at the Modern Exhibition Place. The Rupandehi Chamber of Commerce announced the details during a press conference on Tuesday.
Chamber Chair Krishna Prasad Parajuli said the fair is focused on strengthening local industries, which he described as the “backbone of the national economy.” He added that the event will not only showcase domestic products but also highlight new technologies, local art and culture, agricultural marketing, tourism promotion, and opportunities for youth entrepreneurship and self-employment.
The fair will feature around 500 stalls divided into various categories, including industrial technology, agriculture, handicrafts, garments, bakery items, leather goods, food grains, and information technology. This year marks the 16th edition of the fair.
