AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifier: match between Nepal and Turkmenistan drawn

Kathmandu, Oct 15: Nepal played a draw with Turkmenistan in its first match under the AFC U19 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifier.

In the match held at Chonburi Stadium in Thailand, the match under Group F between Nepal and Turkmenistan ended without a goal scored. With this, both teams have shared one point each and Nepal’s possibility to reach the AFC Women’s U19 Asian Cup Football has become very dim.

Nepal will play its second match of the group against Thailand on October 17. Thailand had defeated Turkmenistan 17-0 in the first match. Thailand is in the top position of the point table with three points, while Nepal is in second position with one point.

Similarly, Turkmenistan scored only one point from two matches and it has already been out from the qualifier.
