Former PM Oli alleges interim government formed against constitution
Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused the current interim government of being formed in violation of the constitution and democratic principles.
Speaking at a program organized by the CPN-UML Bhaktapur District Committee today, Oli said the appointment of a former Chief Justice to lead the government contradicts constitutional provisions that bar former justices from holding government positions.
He reaffirmed his party’s commitment to safeguarding national independence and territorial integrity.
CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said external forces were attempting to divide generations and create instability in the name of Gen-G youth. Similarly, leader Mahesh Basnet called for an investigation into those involved in damaging public property during recent protests.
