Two girls go missing in landslide

Sindhupalchok: Two girls have gone missing in a landslide occurred at Balephi Dhade of Balephi rural municipality-1 in the district on Wednesday.

Phul Maya Lama, 17, and her 5-year-old sister Man Maya Lama disappeared in the landslide while they were heading to their maternal uncle’s home at Golchhe of Jugal rural municipality-2. They are from Phulping of Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality-2, according to Rameshwor Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office.

The landslide occurred at 4:45pm. A 10-member police team led by Police Inspector Gajendra Rawat has been mobilized for the search of the missing girls, the police added.
