DPM Singh inquires on disaster response

Kathmandu, Aug 31: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, inquired the subordinates on disaster preparedness and response activities.

He held a meeting on Sunday in the wake of disruption of various roads due to floods and damages. Minister Singh directed the concerned officials to intensify the works to resume the roadways. He was apprised by the officials including from the Home Ministry during the meeting.

The landslides and floods triggered by the rainfall disrupted the roadway like Pasang Lhamu Highway, Araniko Highway, Bheri Corridor, Karnali Highway and Beni-Jomsom roadway.
