RPP to be largest party in upcoming general election: Chair Lingden
Jhapa, Aug 30: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, has urged leaders and cadres to prepare accordingly as the RPP is poised to become the largest party in the country in the upcoming elections.
Addressing the 11th district convention of the party in Birtamod today, he expressed confidence that the RPP will become the first party in the 2084 elections. Chair Lingden demanded the amendment of the constitution to arrange for the election of an executive prime minister through a direct electoral system. He emphasised that the RPP will not compromise against corruption and corrupt practices, both within and outside the party.
Party spokesperson and chief whip Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi emphasised the need to change the country’s system to alter the condition of the nation. “It is essential to change both the condition and the system of the country for the sake of our generation, and the party will lead this from both the street and the parliament.” The convention unanimously elected Keshav Ojha as the chair of the district committee.
