False narrative against province government needs correction: CM Baniya

Sindhupalchowk, Aug 23: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Indra Bahadur Baniya has said that the wrong narratives created against the province government should be defied.

At a programme in Melamchi in the district on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that the attempts of the false narratives being created through social sites against the provincial government should be challenged. He viewed that massive changes have taken place in the development of physical infrastructure after the establishment of the republican system.

“The opponents of this system are naysayers of this (the progress). So, attempts are being made to defame (federalism) through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, like social networking sites,” the Chief Minister added. Chief Minister Baniya, Health Minister Kiran Thapa, Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Pravat Tamang and Drinking Water, Energy and Irrigation Minister Krishna Kumar Tamang were honoured at the event.
