Traffic resumes on Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road

Rasuwa, July 21: The Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road section that was obstructed due to floods in the Lhende Stream last July 8 has come into operation from today.

With the traffic turning smooth, the Kathmandu-Timure vehicle service has resumed. According to Santosh Titung, Chief of Namaste Pasang Lhyamu Bus Committee, Dhunche Counter, the passenger-ferrying bus has reached Timure from Kathmandu. Life in Timure is getting smoother gradually after the devastating incident of flooding, informed Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-2 ward chair Kami Tshiring Tamang.

The trucks and containers obstructed in and around Timure, Ghattekhola and Rasuwagadhi, where there was no possibility to move to Kerung after their sweeping away of Nepal-China Friendship Bridge, are now returning to their destinations. As many as 15 vehicles without any load have returned to Kathmandu.

Likewise, dozens of vehicles loaded with Chinese goods that were obstructed and stranded in Timure are heading to Kathmandu now.
