NC’s central committee meeting continues deliberation in 13 different agendas

 

Kathmandu, June 30: The central committee (CC) members of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) continue to express their views in the ongoing Central Committee meeting that kicked off on Monday.

The CC members voiced their views on the report of the party’s 100-day campaign, the report of the Central Policy, Research and Training Academy, the report on the Discipline Committee, the progress report on the renewal of the active membership, decisions of the Directorate Committee regarding sister organizations and management and expansion of Nepali Public Relations Committee.

According to the NC central office’s Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, the meeting dwelt on various agendas, including sister organizations, approval of the meeting of the party’s central working committee, endorsement of the directives on the performance of people’s representatives as well as the effectiveness of the party’s role in parliament and government.

During the meeting, NC Vice President and Head of the Central Policy, Research and Training Academy, Purna Bahadur Khadka, presented a proposal seeking an amendment to the Academy’s directives. He also presented a report of the Academy in the meeting and informed Chief Secretary Poudel. Similarly, NC General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, presenting the meeting agendas, appraised the leaders about the progress details on the renewal of the party’s active members.

He also presented a proposal regarding decisions of the Directorate Committee on sister organizations and the management and expansion of the Nepali Public Relations Committee. In the meeting presided over by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, party’s treasurer Umesh Shrestha, central members Dr Shekhar Koirala, Bal Bahadur KC, Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel, Pushpa Bhusal, Dr Gopal Dahit, Yogendra Chaudhary, Nain Singh Mahar, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Bharat Kumar Shah also expressed their views.

As the discussion on various agendas continues, the meeting shall convene again on coming Tuesday at 11:00 AM, it was shared.
