Extremely heavy rainfall likely in four provinces

Kathmandu, June 28: Currently, there is an influence of monsoon winds across the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall at some places of hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province and Sudurpaschim Province, as well as light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning likely at a few places in the remaining areas.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, heavy rainfall has been forecast at one or two places in the hilly region of the country as well, and there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall as well as snowfall at a few places in the high-hilly and mountainous regions of the country. Partly cloudy to generally cloudy weather is likely throughout the country tonight, added the Division.

Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning has been predicted at some places in the hilly region and a few places in the remaining areas. Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected at one or two places in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as light to moderate rainfall and snowfall at a few places in the high-hilly and mountainous region.
