UML is united: Chairman Oli
Kathmandu: Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that his party was united and no one can split the UML.
At a programme organised on the 74th birth anniversary of communist leader late Madan Bhandari in Kathmandu today, PM Oli warned not to dream of a split in the UML.
‘The CPN (UML) is moving ahead with success. The party was divided in the past under different pretexts. But our party revived strongly. UML is not a breakable force,’ Chairman Oli stated. Oli asked the party leaders and cadres to make Mission-84 a success.
During his speech, Oli shed light on the contributions made by Madan Bhandari in the national politics, adding that late Bhandari’s guideline was a major milestone in Nepal’s political evolution. At a time when the world was facing a serious setback in the leftist and socialist movement, the UML carried out a new path under the leadership of Bhandari, Oli mentioned.
Likewise, PM Oli said that Bhandari propounded the idea of People’s Multiparty Democracy on time, and the UML is moving ahead even today on the foundation of the same ideology.
On the occasion, PM Oli shared about his formal visit to Spain and his scheduled visit to Humla to inaugurate a road to the Humla district headquarters in Simkot. Oli compared such developments as the achievements of the People’s Multiparty Democracy.
Likewise, Oli reiterated firm support of the UML for the Mahakali Treaty and added that its agreements should be implemented.
