PM Oli pleased for discovery of natural gas in Dailekh

June 20, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed his excitement about the discovery of natural gas in Dailekh district.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the PM reminisced about the time he started the exploration of petroleum products in Dailekh during his previous term as Prime Minister. He noted, “I remembered the days when I initiated the exploration of petroleum products in Dailekh. There were many differing opinions on this decision.”

PM Oli shared that he reflected on these past events after learning about the discovery of 1.12 billion cubic meters of methane gas in Dailekh. “This is great news,” he stated. The petroleum exploration in Dailekh and other hilly districts began after a government-to-government agreement between Nepal and China during his administration in 2019.
