Nepal calls for restraint amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran
Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, urging both sides to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue to maintain peace and stability in the region and beyond.
In a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of avoiding further escalation and called for a conciliatory approach through diplomatic channels.
The statement noted that Nepal has been closely observing the situation, stressing that diplomatic efforts would be crucial in de-escalating the conflict.
The ministry also informed that Nepali missions in Tel Aviv and Doha are in regular contact with the Nepali communities residing in Israel and Iran, respectively.
All Nepali citizens in both countries have been advised to remain vigilant, follow local advisories, and exercise caution.
