HoR meeting scheduled for today
Kathmandu, June 11: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament has been scheduled for 1.00 pm this afternoon.
The opposition parties have been regularly obstructing the House, raising the issue related to the ‘visit visa’ scam. The scheduled meetings of the Lower House have been postponed without entering the regular agenda since May 27. Despite several rounds of discussion among the political parties for consensus, nothing concrete has been yielded to avert the prolonged parliamentary deadlock.
In today’s meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is set to present a proposal seeking discussion on ‘the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2082/83’ along with a statement.
Similarly, President of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee Ramhari Khatiwada will present the report of the ‘Federal Civil Service Bill, 2082.’ Due to continuous obstructions from the opposition parties, the parliament has not been able to enter the regular agenda in recent days.
