Bill to amend Nepal Citizenship Act passed by committee
Kathmandu, June 10: The House of Representatives, State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has passed the Bill designed to amend the Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063.
It was passed unanimously in Tuesday’s meeting of the committee. The bill was passed after discussions with the lawmakers and stakeholders who had proposed amendments to the bill, shared committee chair Ramhari Khatiwada.
He expressed confidence that the bill would address the difficulties seen in obtaining citizenship.
