Am confident to get justice from court: Chairman Nepal

Kathmandu: Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has expressed his confidence in receiving a clean chit from the court in a charge sheet filed against him at the Special Court regarding a land scam involving Patanjali Yoga Peeth and Ayurveda Company Nepal.

Inaugurating the first convention of the party’s Madhes Province Liaison Committee here Saturday, the former PM expressed his reservations about lodging the case against him.

He claimed that the decision to provide a land plot to Patanjali Yoga Peeth and Ayurveda Company Nepal for offering health care services to the Nepali citizens was taken based on the cabinet’s right to take policy-level decisions.

Former PM Nepal shared that he was consulting with the legal experts to defend the case, adding that he would honour the verdicts coming from the court.
