Suggestions submitted to PM Oli for Sagarmatha Sambaad

Kathmandu: Madan Bhandari Foundation has submitted recommendations to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for the Sagarmatha Sambaad, or dialogue, which is being held in the federal capital from May 16 to 18.

The suggestions were based on the opinion of participants of an interaction, including former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, environment experts, experts on international relations and campaigners that Madan Bhandari Foundation organised on May 10, said Chairperson of Foundation, Usha Kiran Bhandari.

Among the recommendations are for Nepal to hold dialogue continuously as a diplomatic series to internationalise its opinion in regional and international relations as well as world order, to establish the ‘Himalaya Green Climate Fund’ to address the Hindukush area affected by climate change as well as develop and operate it as a regional environment fund.

To this end, the Universities should work for human resource and institutional development and work for knowledge transfer, under the leadership of the State.
