Wildlife damage prevention fence in Shuklaphanta

May 7, Kathmandu: A wire mesh fence has been constructed in Ward No. 8 of Shuklaphanta Municipality in Kanchanpur district to prevent damage caused by wild animals. The 2,900-meter fence was built with an investment of over Rs 4.7 million.
Human-animal conflict has increased in the Terai region of the western part of the country, especially in the periphery and buffer zones of Bardiya and Banke National Parks.
