Oriental philosophy is provenance of knowledge: President Paudel

Kathmandu, May 3: President Ramchandra Paudel has said the oriental philosophy is the provenance of knowledge. This culture and civilization have unity and harmony, he added.

The solidarity in oriental culture fosters peace, tolerance and fraternity, he said during a consecration ceremony at a newly built Badri Narayan Temple, Ramkot in Kathmandu today.

The coexistence is the essence and holy thought preserved in the oriental civilization and philosophy, according to him. The religion is above sect and spiritualism above religion, the Head of the State argued.

According to him, the establishment of temple would not only foster vedic culture and tradition but also prop up religious tourism. “There is a world race for physical development, resulting into eroding peace, good governance and mutual assistance. We’ve been facing this in our community as well, so spiritual awakening is imperative,” he reminded.
