Nepali student’s body found in Thames river, London
May 3, Kathmandu: London police confirmed that a body found near Waterloo in the Thames River belonged to a 20-year-old Nepali student, Sushan Oli, from Musikot of Rukum West.
The identification was made through fingerprint analysis, according to the Nepali Embassy. Oli, missing since April 21, was reported by campus peers to the police and the embassy.
Initial investigations suggest possible suicide, with no suspicious circumstances noted. The embassy is coordinating with Oli’s family for body repatriation or final rites in the UK itself. Further details await ongoing investigations.
