Birgunj Dry Port collects Rs 36.83 billion revenue in nine months
May 3, Kathmandu: The Birgunj Dry Port customs office at Sirsiya has collected revenue of around Rs 37 billion in the last nine months of the current fiscal year.
The office collected 61.34 per cent of its annual target during the period. Information Officer at the Office, Yubaraj Bhattarai, said the revenue collection has been increasing in recent months.
The customs office had collected Rs 3.75 billion in the month of Shrawan, Rs 4.64 billion in Bhadra, Rs 4.36 billion in Ashwin and Rs 3.79 billion in Kartik.
Similarly, it collected revenue of Rs 3.22 billion in Mangsir, Rs 3.56 billion in Poush, Rs 4.29 billion in Magh, Rs 4.68 billion in Fagun and Rs 4.5 billion in Chait.
The Customs Department had set a target for the Birgunj Dry Port customs office of collecting Rs 60.04 billion in revenue in the current fiscal year.
