NC President Deuba aggrieves Dangol’s demise

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Tirtharam Dangol, former President of NC’s Kathmandu district chapter.

In a condolence message issued today, President Deuba said he was disheartened by the news of the passing away of leader Dangol. “I am deeply saddened by the news of the demise of former President of NC’s Kathmandu district chapter and former Minister of State for Health, Tritharam Dangol,” he mentioned.

Deuba further asserted that the NC would never forget the leadership role played by Dangol in building party organization and in democratic movements of the country.

He also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. NC President Deuba along with other party leaders and cadres offered tributes to late Dangol by draping party’s flag over his body.

Leader Dangol had passed away 11:00 PM in Kathmandu on Friday. He was 77. His body has been kept at the party central office since 11:00 am for tributes.

The body will be kept till 1:00 pm today, shared Krishna Poudel, Chief Secretary of the NC Central Office. According to him, Dangol’s cremation will be performed at Teku Dobhan of Kathmandu at 2:00 pm.
