School Education Bill soon: PM Oli

Rupandehi, April 11: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said teachers should not continue their agitation because the government was ready to introduce the School Education Act as soon as possible.

Addressing a public awareness meeting organized by the Rupandehi District Committee of the Ruling CPN UML in Butwal today, PM Oli, also the Chairman of the party, said that the government pays heed to the problems and voices of all sectors, therefore there is no point in staging protest on streets.

“There are problems, but street agitation is not the alternative to solution at all,” he reminded, informing the teachers that the new Education Act would come soon, end the anomalies facing school education and teachers. Teachers should consider not only about their problems but also the interest of the nation, the PM argued.

Referring to the resignation tendered by the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University which the PM approved, he clarified that there was no truth in the propaganda that he had a confrontation with the Vice-Chancellor.
