PM Oli discusses teachers’ demands with relevant ministers and secretaries

Kathmandu, April 7:  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has discussed with the concerned ministers and secretaries regarding the demands and agitation of teachers today.

In a discussion held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidya Bhattarai, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal and secretaries of the concerned ministries, it was emphasized that the problem should be resolved through dialogue after doing additional homework.

During the discussion, the Ministry of Education informed about the demands raised in the ongoing protest in Kathmandu at the call of the Nepal Teachers’ Federation.

The Prime Minister’s Secretariat stated that the meeting discussed the current economic situation, the process of formulating laws for school education, demands that the government can immediately fulfill, and ensuring quality education.
