Process to ensure drinking water to Dharan folks begins: PM Oli

Kathmandu, April 7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said a process has been forwarded to ensure drinking water to people living in Dharan.

Prime Minister Oli said so during a meeting with a delegation comprising Mayor of Dharan sub-metropolis, Harka Raj Rai, at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, on Monday.

“People of Dharan should get drinking water regularly. A process to this effect has been forwarded from today itself. The federal government shall make necessary arrangement on other issues including budget for the same. Convey this message to Dharan folks”, he mentioned.

The federal government has already prepared detailed project report for ensuring supply of drinking water in Dharan.  Furthermore, Prime Minister Oli laid emphasis on the need of constructing a modern landfill site for the garbage management of Dharan.

Similarly, Mayor Rai shared that the sub-metropolis had urged the Finance Ministry for the guarantee of funds required to realize the drinking water project in Dharan.
