Three best farmers awarded

Mugu, March 29: Three farmers from Mugu district have been awarded the Chief Minister’s Best Farmer Award.

The Karnali Province Government awards the best farmer every year. The best farmers were honored with cash prizes, and certificates of appreciation at a program organized by the District Agricultural Development Office, Mugu, on Friday.

Brikha Bahadur Bham of Ward No. 4 of Chhayanath Rara Municipality, Mugu district, came first in vegetable farming, Nailasingh Khadka of Nigale village of Chhayanath Rara Municipality-3 came second, while honey farmer Rup Bahadur Sejuwal of Liudi village of the same municipality-6 came third.

The first, second and third place farmers received cash prizes of Rs 30,000, Rs 25,000, and Rs 20,000, respectively, and certificates of appreciation, said Ganesh Adhikari, Chief of the District Agricultural Development Office, Mugu.
