President Paudel appeals all to join nation building campaign
Gandaki: President Ramchandra Paudel has appealed to all to join the campaign of nation building with a determination to work for the sake of the country and its people.
Addressing the Shreemadbhagawat Gyan Mahayagya and religious tourism festival, 2081, as well as the inauguration of Debalaya Sarangkotdham in the Pokhara metropolitan city today, President Paudel shared that the federal democratic republic was achieved from a long struggle and huge sacrifice of the people.
He clarified that the country’s economic development was the desire of our constitution and federal democratic republic. Stating that brain drain of youths has become a matter of concern for the country, the President urged all the concerned sides to be serious to end this trend by creating employment opportunities and a source of income-generation.
He expressed the belief that the country’s economy should be made strong by developing industries related to agriculture, water resources and tourism, as well as increasing production, as agriculture, tourism and infrastructure development are the main basis for the country’s development.
President Paudel mentioned that there is immense potential to establish the tourism sector as the foundation of income generation and prosperity. Pointing out that the role of the private sector is significant in the development of touristic infrastructure, he mentioned that local, provincial and federal governments should encourage the private sector by formulating favourable policies, rules and laws, and create an investment-friendly environment.
