Seminar on ‘NTV Itahari in Public Service Broadcasting’ concluded
Kathmandu: A symposium on the topic of NTV Itahari in public service broadcasting has been held under Public Service Broadcasting Nepal Television Itahari channel.
Addressing the symposium, Public Service Broadcasting Nepal Chairperson Dr. Mahendra Bista said that PSB has embraced three main issues. PSB will give special priority to the issues of national unity, disaster and prosperity and will include all the languages, cultures, religions, castes and genders of the nation within national unity, Chairperson Bista said.
Addressing the program, Dr. Bhumiraj Chapagain, member of the Board of Directors of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, said that the programs broadcast by PSB should be citizen-centric. He emphasized that after the transformation of Radio Nepal and Nepal Television into PSB, the news and programs broadcast by radio and television should reflect the belonging of the general public.
Addressing the program, Public Service Broadcasting Nepal NTV Itahari Channel Chief Basanta Rupakheti informed that NTV Itahari has been broadcasting various activities of Koshi Province and Madhesh Province with priority, and said that after Radio Nepal and Nepal Television were transformed into a single organization, it has become easier to work on highlighting the voices of the voiceless people.
Addressing the program, Pushkar Raj Gautam, Head of Planning, Development and Expansion Division of Public Service Broadcasting Radio Nepal, said that with the implementation of PSB, both organizations should coordinate and collaborate in program and news production. He also expressed the idea that Radio Nepal’s materials could be used for television as well.
Employees of Nepal Television Itahari Channel and Radio Nepal participated in the program.
