PM Oli promises diplomatic action to bring culprit to justice in Prakriti Lamsal’s case
February 25, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli spoke by phone with the family of Prakriti Lamsal, a Nepali student found dead in Odisha, India, on Monday. He promised to pursue diplomatic efforts to bring the culprits to justice.
Speaking to Prakriti’s parents in Bhairahawa, Siddharthanagar Municipality Ward No. 8, Rupandehi, PM Oli said the government was taking steps to address the case and ensure the safety of Nepali students studying in India.
“All Nepali students are our children. We are aware of their safety and are acting on it,” he said, adding that the state supports the family in their loss.
