Government announces ‘Prime Minister National Talent Award 2081’

Kathmandu, February 19: The government has announced the recipients of the Prime Minister National Talent Award 2081, recognizing outstanding contributions in various fields, including peace, governance, innovation, scientific research, and development.

The prestigious award given during the National Democracy Day ceremony held at Tundikhel.

The Prime Minister National Talent Award is an initiative aimed at honouring individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their respective domains.

The awardees for this year have been recognized for their dedication and impact in fields ranging from medicine to sports and heritage conservation.

This year’s award recipients are as follows:

Dr. Tshering Lama – Recognized for remarkable contributions in telemedicine, advancing healthcare accessibility through technology.

Dr. Biraj Singh Thapa – Awarded for his work in science and innovation, contributing to research and technological advancements.

Purnima Shrestha – Honored for her achievements in mountaineering, showcasing excellence in adventure sports.

Abhash Maskey and Hariram Shrestha – Jointly awarded for their contributions in science and technology, furthering Nepal’s progress in the sector.

Dr. Om Murti Anil – Recognized for his contributions to medicine, particularly in cardiovascular health.

Sabitra Bhandari – Awarded for her excellence in sports, representing Nepal in football at the international level.
