Prosperity possible through tourism development: Minister Pandey
Galkot (Baglung): Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has said the country could achieve prosperity through the development of tourism. Inaugurating a hotel and resort, Ila Comfort, established at Baglung bazaar, Minister Pandey lauded the role played by the private sector in building tourism infrastructures.
The Tourism Minister argued economic prosperity could be achieved from the public-private partnership. Stating that the government has been carrying out activities to create an investment-friendly environment, the Tourism Minister pointed out the need for adequate physical infrastructures to attract the maximum number of tourists.
The government has been supporting the private sector for the construction of tourism infrastructures, he reminded.
Similarly, the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chandra Dhakal, said he had given priority to investment and employment generation in the country and was continuously involved in the same.
Investment in tourism and hydropower sector would steer the country to the path of prosperity, he opined. FNCCI President Dhakal established the Ila Comfort at Rs 300 million.
