Ordinance brought to ensure good governance: Minister Gurung
Lamjung: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung asserted that the incumbent government introduced ordinances to ensure good governance in the country.
Stating that development could not be realized without good governance, Minister Gurung, also the Spokesperson of government, shared that 13 laws have been amended so far through ordinances.
Constitution amendment would be considered based on national consensus, the Minister, said, while clarifying that there would not be any amendment on certain issues such as federalism, secularism, proportional system and inclusion.
Also a UML leader, the Minister said CPN UML and Nepali Congress had formed the incumbent government to ensure political stability in the country and protect the constitution.
‘The Nepali Congress and CPN UML have always come together whenever there is need,’ he observed.
According to him, the two parties have always been together from the era of a single party system to the establishment of a federal democratic republic and have yet again forged togetherness because of the need of the hour.
He said that the current government had been tough on cooperative scams. The programme was attended by UMLcentral members and local leaders.
