Low visibility affects air flight in Nepalgunj
Khajura (Banke), Jan 21: The thick fog has affected visibility for conducting air flights at Nepalgunj airport.
The haze has adversely affected visibility, thereby disrupting air flights to and from Nepalgunj airport, according to Rinki Mallik, traffic controller at the Civil Aviation Office, Nepalgunj. The visibility of light is only 50 meters.
It has resulted in the disruption of some 50 flights in a day to and from the hilly districts, Pokhara city, and the federal capital, Kathmandu. Mallik shared the information that it is imperative to have visibility as high as 1,000 meters to take off and 1,600 meters for landing.
The passengers heading to hilly districts and the federal capital are stranded after the flight cancellations. —RSS
