PM Oli announces Rs 10 million aid to Maiti Nepal

 

Kathmandu, Jan 13: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced an aid of Rs 10 million to Maiti Nepal—a renowned social organization crusading against girls trafficking.

He announced that the government would provide aid to increase the revolving fund of the organization after making a site observation of the Gaushala-based central office of Maiti Nepal. On the occasion, PM Oli discussed with Maiti Nepal’s founder Anuradha Koirala, along with its office-bearer and dependent women and children, about the activities of the organization.

Following the discussion, the PM announced an increase in the revolving fund of the organization for its consistent support of the work that the government is obliged to do. Lauding the organization, he expressed the confidence to seriously take initiative from the government side to resolve the problems discussed on the occasion.

PM Oli had observed the rehabilitation shelter, child protection home, HIV treatment ART center, and Teresa Academy School operated in the organization. —RSS
