Prithvi Jayanti observed in Koshi Province

Morang, Jan 12: The 303rd Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day was observed by organizing various programs in Koshi Province on Saturday.

At a program held on the premises of the Koshi Province Assembly, Assembly Speaker Ambar Bahadur Bista garlanded the image of the founder of modern Nepal, Prithvi Narayan Shah. Poush 27 is marked as the Prithvi Jayanti in Nepal. Speaker Bista reminded that Prithvi Narayan Shah had not only unified Nepal but also established Nepal and Nepalis’ identity.

He was heroic and honest, which the new generation can learn. “We began grandly celebrating Prithvi Jayanti this year in the province. It will be continued,” he informed. On the occasion, the Secretary at the Province Assembly, Gopal Prasad Parajuli, shed light on the contribution of the founder of the nation, Prithvi Narayan Shah, in the unification of modern Nepal.

The program was attended by provincial assembly employees, media persons, and security agencies. —RSS
