Govt committed to managing education sector: Minister Gurung
Lamjung, Jan 8: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said the government was working actively for reform in the education sector.
Addressing a program organized by the district committee of PABSON at Beshisahar on Wednesday, Minister Gurung argued that although the government had a huge investment in education, the expected result was elusive. Minister Gurung shared that the government was committed to retaining youths within the country by ensuring quality and skill-based education.
Also the spokesperson of the government, Gurung made it clear that the government had brought an ordinance to systematize the cooperative, which is facing problems. He admitted that capital spending was not growing as per expectation.
The time has come to focus on it and create employment for youths. Meanwhile, Minister Gurung argued that federalism had ensured the rights of indigenous people. He said it in a program organized for leadership development and empowerment of local-level people’s representatives in the district. —RSS
