High priority to health sector reform: CM Shah

Attariya (Kailali): Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Kamal Bahadur Shah, has said the province government had accorded a top priority to the health sector reform.

CM Shah said it while inaugurating the free blood service from all government hospitals in the province on Sunday. He however said there were limited resources to carry out planned activities.

Free blood service would benefit people most, he said, assuring the province government’s assistance to expand the service further. On the occasion, Minister for Social Development, Megh Raj Khadka, expressed belief that the free blood service would help patients from poor financial status.

CM Shah, while assuming office in August 2024, had announced that he would materialize the decision to free blood service from government hospitals.

The free blood service materialized after the Ministry of Social Development collaboration with Nepal Red Cross Society’s Province Blood Transfusion Centre, Dhangadhi.
