December 26, Kathmandu: Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has said the issue of bringing Nepali human resources working abroad back to Nepal was challenging. At the Nepal Health Conclave that began on Thursday, Minister Paudel expressed the belief that the conference would be effective in bringing capable human resources back to the country.
“There are challenges to stop the brain drain of the human resources as well as how to utilize and connect capability and experience of human resources, who are in abroad,” mentioned Minister Paudel. The Health Minister added that the conference would draw a conclusion after holding a discussion on alternatives and plans to stop the brain drain of health workers.
He pointed out the need for collaboration of all sides, as the common objective of the Nepalis, at home and abroad, is to build the nation. The two-day conclave, ‘Nepal Health Conference 2024: Coordinating Diaspora for Healthcare Strengthening’ is aimed at promoting partnerships, exchanging knowledge and discussing challenges facing the health sector of the country.
